When installing the Y -ring, we need to install it carefully to prevent the seal from stretching and deforming and losing the sealing effect. So, what should we pay attention to during installation?
(1) The structure of the cavity in which the sealing ring is installed should be designed as simple, compact and easy to disassemble as possible.
(2) During assembly and use, if the seal is prone to deformation or abnormal movement, a support ring should be installed.
( 圆角半径 0.1~0.3mm) ，安装时密封圈通过的部位也应倒角。 (3) Each sharp edge at the position where the sealing ring is installed should be dull ( rounded radius 0.1 ~ 0.3mm) , and the part where the sealing ring passes during installation should also be chamfered.
(4) Try to avoid opening pressure oil holes in the cylinder inner wall or piston rod through which the sealing ring passes; if the hole must be opened, it should be chamfered around the hole.
( 或活塞杆 ) 的间隙应小些，但也不能过小，否则在受偏心载荷作用时易产生别劲现象，造成损伤。 (5) The clearance between the support member and the pressing member and the cylinder wall ( or piston rod ) should be small, but it should not be too small, otherwise it will easily produce other phenomena when it is subjected to eccentric load, causing damage.
在高压使用时，为了防止密封圈挤入间隙，应使用保护挡圈。 (6) When using at high pressure, in order to prevent the sealing ring from being squeezed into the gap, a protective retaining ring should be used.
(7) When used in a dusty working environment, a dust ring should be used.
(8) When installing the seal ring, the inner wall of the cylinder or the piston rod should be sufficiently coated with lubricating oil or working oil so that the seal ring can be smoothly installed. In particular, pneumatic machinery should be coated with grease in the seal ring and the sealed cavity.
(9) When designing the installation position of the seal ring, try to avoid excessive stretching when installing the seal ring.
(10) Pay attention to the installation direction of the seal, and do not apply pressure to the back of the seal.
密封圈相对滑动的表面粗糙度一般取 0. 16 μ m ，但工作条件不太严格时可取 0. 32 μ m 。 (11) The surface roughness of the relative sliding of the seal ring is generally taken as 0.16 μm , but it may be taken as 0.32 μm when the working conditions are not too strict . No sliding defects are allowed on the sliding surface.
